We provide free access to our shared SSL certificate for all accounts. This feature is enabled by default. This allows visitors to securely access your site in the form of:

https://wwwXX.a2hosting.com/~username

See your welcome email for the exact URL to use for your account.

Dedicated SSL Certificates

A dedicated (private) SSL certificate allow visitors to securely access your site via a URL in the form of:

https://www.yourdomain.com/

This gives visitors the confidence they need to go forward with e-commerce transactions and other online activities that warrant encryption and privacy.

We offer the following 128 bit GeoTrust SSL Certificates:

QuickSSL® 128-bit SSL certificate	$119.95 / year
QuickSSL® Premium This 128-bit SSL certificate includes a dynamic security seal for your site	$169.95 / year
True BusinessID® Provides end-to-end internet security protection for doing business online. Secure transactions through High Assurance SSL and business validation from True Site® – so you're completely covered!	$199.95 / year

There is an option on our online order form to add any of these SSL certificates to your account. If you need an SSL cert added to an account that has already been set up, please open a ticket with our support department. Also please note that private SSL certificates require a private IP address which we offer for $3/month.

"Bring your own" Certificate

If you have a 3rd party SSL certificate that you'd like us to install for you, there is a one time installation fee of just $25.00. Keep in mind you will also need a private IP address to use in conjunction with your SSL cert. If you don't already have a private IP address, one can be added for $3/month.
